This antique Dan Patch cut plug tobacco tin from the Scotten Dillon Company features graphics of the famous pacer horse. This tin has some typical bending you expect to see for an early 20th century tin and it measures about 6" in size. Circa 1910s Scotten Dillon was a major manufacturer of plug,chewing and smoking tobacco starting back in the 1850s in Detroit,Michigan. Dan Patch broke several world speed records in the early 1900s including the fastest mile by a harness horse which was a record that stood 32 years.
