Antique Civil War Era Daguerreotype Photograph Possible Soldier & History Letter

This antique Civil War era daguerreotype photograph is hard to see but it appears he may possibly be a solider in a uniform of some type but i am not sure and we found history of who he was behind the glass image written on paper which is hard to read.
